Easter series
Easter/ Lent Preaching Series -
'Encounters With Jesus'

As we approach Easter and for one Sunday after Easter, we are going to focus on encounters that different people and groups had with Jesus as he approached the cross and then soon after his resurrection. As we look at these encounters, we’re going to focus in on how we might rightly respond to Jesus and live out a wholehearted faith in him. Encounters with Jesus on the way to the Cross in Mark’s Gospel

1. Jesus and Bartimaeus - Blind Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46-52)
2. Jesus and the Pharisees - Paying taxes to Caesar (Mark 12:13-17)
3. Jesus and the woman at Bethany - Jesus anointed (Mark 14:1-11)
4. Peter disowns Jesus (Mark 14:66-72)
5. Palm Sunday – The Triumphal Entry (Mark 11:1-11) On Palm Sunday the crowds in Jerusalem hailed Jesus as their true king.
6. Easter Sunday – The Resurrection (John 20:1-18) The resurrection of Jesus is at the heart of Christianity.
7. Jesus and the disciples on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35)

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go.  There will be an opening welcome and notices, followed by a time of music with opportunity for church members to pray or read a passage from the bible. There will then be a talk from one of the leaders at the Church with a chance to respond at the end of the service.

You are welcome to bring you child or children with you to church. There is a play area for young children.

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them.

Please feel free to contact us.
